Real Madrid have confirmed that their investigation into the training ground disagreement involving Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde earlier this week has now concluded.
Valverde reportedly had to attend hospital after a reported dispute with his teammate, telling fans via Instagram that he had hit his head on a table.
The Uruguayan was treated by medical staff for a “cranioencephalic trauma” and he was subsequently discharged and returned to the club’s Valdebebas training ground.
Late on Thursday evening, Real Madrid announced the commencement of an investigation into the dispute.
The internal procedures relating to that investigation appear to have been concluded, with Los Blancos posting a statement confirming the punishment that the two players will face.

As confirmed by the club, the pair must pay out a combined fine of €1 million.
The players must split the amount equally by paying a total of €500,000 (£432,000) each to their club.
This was announced in a statement that reads: “Real Madrid C.F. announces that, following the events that led to the opening of disciplinary proceedings yesterday against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, both appeared today before the investigating officer.
“During their appearance, the players expressed their sincere regret for what happened and apologized to each other.
“They also conveyed their apologies to the club, their teammates, the coaching staff, and the fans, and both offered their full cooperation to Real Madrid, ready to accept whatever sanction the club deems appropriate.
“In light of these circumstances, Real Madrid has decided to impose a fine of five hundred thousand euros on each player, thus concluding the corresponding internal procedures”.
