The ambassador’s message is clear

Iran has warned that it may soon begin to attack UK-based targets, amid rising fears that the conflict in the Middle East conflict could next spill onto British soil.

If tensions continue to escalate, any UK bases tied to US military operations could fall within range, according to Seyed Ali Mousavi, Iran’s ambassador to London.

RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia were already used by American forces to launch strikes on Iran since fighting broke out last month.

While last month, Iran fired two missiles towards Diego Garcia, one which was intercepted while the other failed mid-air.

This marked its first confirmed use of long-range ballistic weapons in the conflict.

Initially, Downing Street had pushed back on US-affiliated operations at the RAF Fairford base in Gloucestershire and the RAF base in Diego Garcia, as Prime Minister Keir Starmer rejected a request from US President Donald Trump.

Trump even called Starmer a “loser” in conversations with friends, as the Telegraph reported.

However, Starmer’s stance later shifted after Iran moved to restrict the key shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz.

Through its ambassador to London, Iran has now issued a chilling warning.

“This is a serious matter under consideration It relates to our self-defence. Our military will decide how to respond based on Britain’s actions. All options are being kept open, but we will act carefully”, Mousavi told Times Radio.

According to the Iranian ambassador, the decision to allow American bombers to launch from RAF Fairford could change things, even though he praised Starmer’s “initial position” not to get involved in the “criminal act of the American side and the Israeli regime” in striking Iran.

Last month, Mousavi told the UK to be “very careful”, as he warned about Iran’s response if the UK were to get further involved in the war.

“We are very careful regarding for our activities and as well as, we do expect for the other people, including the British government, to be very delicate, to be very careful for their own activities”, he said in a warning to Britain.
