Asos co-founder dies after falling from 17th floor balcony

BREAKING

One of the co-founders of Asos, the online fashion giant, has died after falling from a balcony in Thailand.

Thai police have named Asos co-founder Quentin Griffiths as the man found dead on the ground, after falling from the balcony of a high-rise apartment block.

His body was found on the ground on 9 February, in the eastern seaside city of Pattaya.

Griffiths, a British passport holder, was by himself, his room was locked from the inside, and there was no trace of any break-ins at the time of the death, BBC reports, citing a police investigator.

Evidence of any foul play was not revealed by the autopsy, it has been reported.

According to police, Griffiths might have been under stress due to two ongoing court cases in which he was involved.

Griffiths, 58, co-founded Asos in 2000. He left the firm five years later but remained a significant shareholder.
