Statement of Epstein’s death dated one day before he was found dead emerges from files

It’s renewed conspiracy theories around his death

A statement announcing Epstein’s death was dated to one day before he was found dead in his prison cell has emerged from the files.

The Epstein files have been much spoken about in recent months ever since the first official releases by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) in mid-December.

With the DOJ releasing the about three million documents in the files in piecemeal fashion, we’ve only seen a small percentage of the files released, although already with significant implications.

Despite complaints that the release is purposely being slowed down to protect people in the files, we have had quite a few revelations.

One of these latest surrounds the details of the disgraced paedophile’s death which comes after a document appeared to state Epstein as dying the day before he was found dead.

A statement from the Manhattan US Attorney’s office is dated to 9 August 2019, while the standard account says the paedophile was found hanged in his cell at 6.30am on 10 August.

In the files, two versions of the statement exist which are dated to 9 August.

Neither of the statements detailed that Epstein died of “apparent suicide”, unlike the officially released document.

Instead, both say he was “found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead shortly thereafter”.

Epstein died unexpectedly in custody while he was being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York.

He died in the lead-up to his high-profile trial for conspiracy and sex trafficking.

The convicted sex criminal was not under suicide watch at the time, although had been found injured and in a foetal position two weeks prior.

Like the publicly released statement, both versions with the earlier date pay tribute to the ‘brave young women’ who either have or have not yet previously come forward, though the wording differs slightly.

According to the official account of Epstein’s death, a corrections officer found him unresponsive on the morning of Saturday August 10.
