History didn’t quite play out as Arsene Wenger may envisaged for Arsenal on that fateful night, not helped by an early reckless red card (but for who?), and an unstoppable midfield performance from a teenage Andres Iniesta, but that it still stands as the Gunners’ only ever top tier European final is quite the achievement.
