He recounted the incident
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has revealed that he was the victim of a firebombing at his home.
Speaking to The Telegraph, the politician said that he would never be able to take his personal safety for granted.
Farage warned of “huge dangers to the job” as he recounted the incident which saw an incendiary device pushed through his letterbox at the start of 2025.
Police later investigated the attack, but have yet to indentify any suspects.
Farage also told The Telegraph about a gift that the paper believes to be worth in the region of £5m from Christopher Harborne.
Farage said that the gift from the Thailand-based billionaire was so “given to me so that I would be safe and secure for the rest of my life.”
Because the money given before Farage re-entered politics in 2024, it was not declared as it did not count as a political donation.
It is worth noting that money that is a gift is not taxed.
Harborne has donated £12m to Reform.
The comprehensive list of things thrown at Nigel Farage
It is not the first time that Farage has been the victim of attacks from the public, albeit not quite as serious as firebombing.
He’s been the victim of two ‘milkshake-bombings’, firstly in 2019 – at which Harborne was present – while campaigning in Newcastle.
While the second milkshake incident came in Clacton in 2024.
Both incidents led to milky perp being charged.
Another incident in 2024 in Barnsley saw “items from a construction site” thrown at Farage which allegedly included cement, although these claims have still not been fully confirmed.
