The Little Mix star says the car contains equipment needed for her twin daughters

Jesy Nelson is offering a £10,000 reward for her car, which was stolen from her drive in the early hours of Sunday, 19 April.

Nelson’s twins have the rare muscle wasting condition SMA Type 1, meaning their life expectancy is around two years without medical intervention.

SMA affects every muscle in the body, and impacts everything from their legs to swallowing.

The singer has previously said that she is acting as a full-time nurse to her daughters, and that doctors told her the twins may never walk due to their diagnosis.

Writing on Instagram, the star revealed that her black Land Rover Defender had been stolen, and she urged anyone with information to talk to either her or the police.

“I have so much of my girls hospital equipment in that car that’s really needed,” she wrote.

She said that the car was last seen at 3am in Chelmsford, and offered a “10k reward to whoever helps recover it.”

Nelson has been raising awareness for SMA, and celebrated a ‘major milestone’ on social media recently.

“I just wanted to come on here to share some information and news that I have heard over the last couple of days,” she said.

“As you know I’ve been campaigning to try and get SMA as part of the newborn screening here in England. My girls were diagnosed with SMA Type 1 and unfortunately they weren’t tested at birth because it wasn’t here in England.

“They have now decided to roll that out in October for all babies in England to be tested at birth for SMA, which is absolutely incredible. I know it is a really big moment for the SMA community because this has been going on for years trying to get this passed, so yeah it is a real proud moment.”
