And now the end is near, and so I face the final pub quiz
Pub quizzers, the time as come. After more than four years, some 5,000 questions and dozens upon dozens of rambling intros, it’s time for me to hand over the reigns of this mighty quizzing behemoth.
My first pub quiz was in the summer of 2021, when we were still coming out of Covid, and I took over the honour of full time quiz master in the autumn. Since then, it’s fair to say we’ve seen a lot.
But the pub quiz has been there throughout and it’s been a pleasure to cook up 25 questions of varying degrees of silliness for you every week.
I’m leaving you in the more-than-capable quizzing hands of Sammi Minion, who already has plenty of sports quizzes under his belt here at JOE. I have no doubt he’ll be a wonderful custodian of this quiz.
And I look forward to finally being able to do the Friday Pub Quiz as a punter, oblivious to what questions await and what the answers are.
