{"id":5387,"date":"2026-05-04T11:12:04","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T11:12:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.worldpumpnews.com\/?p=5387"},"modified":"2026-05-04T11:12:04","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T11:12:04","slug":"reform-vow-to-open-mass-deportation-centres-across-uk-in-green-constituencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldpumpnews.com\/?p=5387","title":{"rendered":"Reform vow to open mass deportation centres across UK in Green constituencies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div><!--$--><\/p>\n<p><h2>Zia Yusuf tweeted the plans last night.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose drop-cap \">\n<p>Reform UK have said that they will be setting up immigration removal centres in areas that are controlled by the Greens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>Areas that vote in a Reform council or a Reform MP will be guaranteed not to have a centre nearby, so they have said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>The Greens have responded to the plans, describing them as &#8216;abhorrent&#8217;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$?--><template id=\"B:0\"\/><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>Zia Yusuf, Reform\u2019s home affairs spokesman, has said people &#8216;will get what they vote for&#8217;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>He wrote on social media: &#8220;Today we announce a new policy: In order to deport all illegal migrants in Britain, Reform will need to detain tens of thousands at a time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;Migrants will not be able to leave these detention centres, and each will be held there a couple of weeks before being deported.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;So here\u2019s our promise: A Reform government will not put any migrant detention facilities in any constituency with a Reform MP. Nor will we put them where Reform controls the council. And of the remaining areas, we will prioritise Green controlled parliamentary constituencies and Green controlled councils to locate the detention centres.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$?--><template id=\"B:1\"\/><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;Put simply, if you vote in a Reform council or Reform MP, we guarantee you won\u2019t have a detention centre near you. If you vote Green, there\u2019s a good chance you will.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;This is an important exercise in democratic consent, not just for our mass deportation policy, but for where the detention centres are placed. Given Zack Polanski openly advocates for open borders, I look forward to their warm embrace of this policy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>Naturally, most of the replies to Yusuf&#8217;s tweet are condemning the policy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>One person wrote: &#8220;So \u201cVote Reform or we\u2019ll punish you\u201d.
