I\u2019ve got to go home. I don\u2019t want to go,&#8221; she told her followers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m absolutely gutted. I wanted to finish.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;Of course, I didn&#8217;t know then that I had cancer, but I just knew that it was the last couple of days there that I hadn&#8217;t felt very well,&#8221; she continued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>She went on to explain what exactly happened.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;What happened was, I went into the Bush Telegraph and apparently, I lost consciousness for a little while. I just wasn&#8217;t feeling myself. They took me to a medical hut, and they were amazing; they really looked after me, and they said you can&#8217;t go back.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$?--><template id=\"B:1\"\/><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;And I said, &#8216;Don&#8217;t say that, don&#8217;t send me home, I&#8217;ll be fine. I wanted to succeed and make it through to the end, but that was the start of everything. It&#8217;s made me really emotional, but I will beat this. I will beat it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>&#8220;I feel so proud of what I achieved,&#8221; she said of her time on the show. &#8220;Just got to get through this real-life trial now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>Speaking previously to Patrick Kielty on RTE\u2019s Late Late Show, the star opened up about her diagnosis.\u201cI\u2019m fine, I\u2019m absolutely fine. My head was a bit mashed for the first few days.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very early stages, and I am along with thousands of other women as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$?--><template id=\"B:2\"\/><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s early stages, I travel back to the UK tomorrow, just for a couple of weeks, they\u2019re going to test lymph nodes and lymph glands and all that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>\u201cBut then I need an operation and some radiotherapy, and then I\u2019m coming back to Fair City, so I will be back in just a few weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>Callard recently started a new job on Irish soap Fair City.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>\u201cI got asked to do it almost a year ago now, and I said, \u2018Oh I don\u2019t know if I can do another soap, I don\u2019t know whether I should do that\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>\u201cAnd they said, \u2018well, just have a look at it\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$?--><template id=\"B:3\"\/><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>\u201cIn the UK it\u2019s quite difficult to get and so I was watching it on my computer, and I just became addicted to Fair City and I just thought, this is fantastic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\/$--><!--$--><\/p>\n<div class=\"custom-prose  \">\n<p>\u201cThe editing is so good. The scripts are amazing. Got my husband to have a look at it.
