Kanye West faces yet another European concert cancellation as backlash over his past remarks intensifies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The cancellation comes just days after the US rapper postponed a show in France amid growing backlash over his past antisemitic comments. He later wrote on social media that he didn\u2019t \u201cwant to put my fans in the middle of it\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“We would like to inform you that the Ye (Kanye West) concert planned for 19 June 2026 at the…Slaski stadium \u200cwill not take place due to formal and legal reasons,” stadium director Adam Strzyzewski said in a statement posted on Facebook.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Just over a week ago, West was blocked from entering the UK after the government concluded his presence would “not be conducive to the public good”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
The 48-year-old was on the bill to headline all three nights of London\u2019s Wireless Festival, however, the event was cancelled after his electronic travel visa authorisation was withdrawn.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
At the time, West did not immediately comment. In January, the rapper issued an apology for his behaviour, which he said was linked to untreated bipolar disorder, and renounced earlier expressions of admiration for Adolf Hitler.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Polish officials have previously expressed disapproval at the prospect of Ye performing in the country.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Marta Cienkowska, Poland’s culture minister, said on Thursday: “In a country scarred by the history of the Holocaust, we cannot pretend that this is just entertainment,” per Sky News.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Over 1.1 million people, most of them Jewish, were murdered at the \u200bAuschwitz death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland during World War \u2060II.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, West wrote on X that his planned concert at the Orange Velodrome in Marseille on June 11 would be postponed “until further notice”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
In a follow-up post, he added: “I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
The rapper was previously banned from Australia last year after releasing a song promoting Nazism and advertising swastika T-shirts on his website.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
West has, however, performed in the US and Mexico this year, with further upcoming appearances scheduled in India, Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
