The Food Standards Agency has issued a warning to customers not to eat a popular food item from Aldi, due to a labelling mistake.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The German supermarket has recalled ‘The Fishmonger Hot Smoked 2 Salmon Fillets \u2013 Honey Roasted’ because the use-by date incorrectly stated that the food was safe to eat up until 25 June 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The Food Standards Agency note that the food item should have in fact been labelled with the use-by date of 25 April 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A statement from Aldi read: “As a precautionary measure, our supplier is recalling ‘The Fishmonger Hot Smoked 2 Salmon Fillets \u2013 Honey Roasted’ because the incorrect use-by date is printed on pack.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

“Customers are asked to return this product to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your co-operation.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Food Standards Agency said: “Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the product.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

It added: “If you have bought the above product, please do not consume it.\u00a0Instead, return it to the store from where it was purchased for a full refund.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
