Nigel Farage has been mocked for his explanation for why he and Reform MPs stormed out of Prime Minister\u2019s Questions this week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
During Wednesday\u2019s session of PMQs, Farage stood up to put it to the prime minister that his promise to \u2018smash the gangs\u2019 has been a \u201ctotal abject failure.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
In response, Starmer pointed out that Farage and his party had voted against government plans to give law enforcement counter-terrorism powers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
The PM also brought up the issue of Worcestershire county council.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Starmer said Farage \u201casks for people\u2019s votes and then he abandons them\u201d and that Reform \u201d\u00a0don\u2019t want to solve problems, they only want to exploit them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
During the next question, the Reform MPs walked out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Later in the day, Farage appeared at a Reform event and attempted to explain why he and his MPs had decided to carry out the attention-grabbing stunt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Farage accused Starmer of \u2018completely ignoring\u2019 him, adding: \u201cHe started ranting and raving about Reform\u2019s councils across the country.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cIn disgust, and against Parliamentary convention, I got up and I walked out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
If anything though, Farage\u2019s explanation just highlighted how pathetic the spectacle was.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
One person commented: \u201cPetulant hissy fit man having highlighted the very reason why he is unfit for office then plays on it to the crowd of paying gullibles.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Another said: \u201cThrowing a tantrum because he did not like the Prime Minister\u2019s response. So is Nigel Farage going to be walking out of PMQs every week?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Someone else pointed out that what had effectively happened was that Reform had walked out the moment they were challenged on their own record.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They said Farage was \u201cbragging about being so entitled that he cannot handle scrutiny.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
