Ian Huntley’s daughter has brutally responded to his death.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It was confirmed yesterday that Huntley, who murdered 10-year-old girls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002, died in hospital after he was attacked by another inmate last week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
A spokesman for Durham Constabulary confirmed the news saying: “A man who was attacked at HMP Frankland in Durham last week has died in hospital this morning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
“Ian Huntley, 52, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an incident in the workshop on the morning of Thursday, February 26.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Now, his daughter, Samantha Bryan, reacted to the news, telling\u00a0The Sun\u00a0that she believes her father shouldn\u2019t have the dignity of a funeral and grave’.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
The 27-year-old continued: “I will not be going. A funeral is pointless for a man like him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
“Funerals are supposed to be about celebrating someone\u2019s life and there\u2019s nothing about him to celebrate. It takes up people\u2019s valuable time and he\u2019s not worth it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
“We should flush his ashes down the toilet.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Her mother, Katie Bryan, echoed this statement, adding that Huntley didn’t deserve the ‘dignity of a grave’.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
“I just cannot get out of my head what he did to Holly and Jessica and how he left them in a ditch.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
“For that reason why should he be given the dignity of a grave? I don\u2019t think he deserves a resting place. A Christian burial is for good people and he\u2019s the devil. He\u2019s evil. I know he\u2019s going to burn in hell.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Katie fell pregnant with Samantha at age of 16, when Huntley was 23. Samantha is his only child.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the pair paid tribute to Huntley’s victims Holly and Jessica, saying that their families were in their thoughts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Speaking to The Sun, Samantha shared: “Over the years, I\u2019ve cried many times over the thought of Holly and Jessica and what their family have gone through. I don\u2019t ever want Holly and Jessica to ever be forgotten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
“As a mother, my thoughts are also with the family of Holly and Jessica,” added Katie. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
“Very much so. We should save our tears for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
An investigation into Huntley’s death has been launched as police described the suspected attacker as a ‘a male prisoner in his mid-40s’.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Durham Constabulary commented: “A police investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cA file is being prepared for the Crown Prosecution Service for consideration for charges.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
