Molly-Mae Hague has admitted in one of her latest vlogs that she and Tommy Fury are ‘on the fence” over their plans to send their daughter Bambi to school.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
The former Love Island stars, who are now expecting their second child, were hoping to enrol Bambi (3) in a Catholic school in light of Tommy’s religious beliefs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Speaking in her latest vlog, Molly-Mae said: \u201cWe went to visit a school for Bambi. I feel as though it could be quite a controversial one. You know me, I can sneeze, and people will find it controversial\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not really going to go into depth about it, but we were very much feeling on the fence with schooling and what we were going to do and where we are at with it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cI was in the normal school system, I didn\u2019t go to private school. We\u2019re just very stuck about what we are going to do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cThe kind of school we would want Bambi to go to, there are not many left,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cCatholic schools are few and far between, and it\u2019s a non-negotiable because it\u2019s Tommy\u2019s religion. He wants her to go to a Catholic school, and obviously I support that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve actually been going to church quite a bit for the last few months. We try to go most Sundays. We will go tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cTommy really wants it to be a part of Bambi\u2019s upbringing. When our second baby comes along, we are going to get them baptised. We haven\u2019t actually done that with Bambi yet, because we just haven\u2019t got round to it,\u201d Molly explained.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen the baby is here, we are going to do a joint baptism. But back to school, I don\u2019t know what we are going to do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cWe went to see a school, and I think it affirmed to us that we are very much on the fence about\u2026 I don\u2019t want to say about sending her at all\u2026 I definitely want her to go to school, but I just don\u2019t know what that looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know in what capacity. I think the legal age you have to send them is five. Do we wait a little bit? Do we just take her lead if it seems like she\u2019s ready, which I think she really does.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t want to say the wrong thing, because the school is amazing that we went to go and see. It\u2019s just, you know when you can\u2019t fault it. It was almost too perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
The successful influencer went on to explain that she and Tommy don’t want Bambi to lose her “spark”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cBambi has just got so much\u2026 I mean, I am biased because she is my child, but she\u2019s got so much personality, and every parent thinks their child is beyond special\u2026 But she is such a spark and has such a brightness about her, that the thought of sending her to school \u2013 I want her to just stay Bambi.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd you have to let go at some point as a parent and allow your child to spread their wings and I don\u2019t know, I just don\u2019t want her to lose her and be told five days a week\u2026 even like little things we picked up on in this school, obviously they are so strict, which is great and we\u2019re strict with Bambi, but in a way that we\u2019re comfortable with.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI just feel like handing your child over for five days a week, six, seven hours a day, to a system \u2013 it\u2019s kind of terrifying and I think because we\u2019re so protective over Bambi. I am so protective, but Tommy\u2019s another level. I just don\u2019t really know where our heads are at with it.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cWe went to go and see the school to see where our heads are at and encourage us. However, I just feel like it set us back a little bit because we thought, woah, this is a lot.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like I left school myself about five minutes ago, and now I\u2019m looking for a school for my child, and I just don\u2019t know what to think. It all feels very overwhelming and kind of scary, and I think we are just going to put the brakes on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cThe reason we are looking around is because everyone is pressurising us, saying you need to get a space if you want her to go to one of these great schools, but this is too overwhelming for me,\u201d she confessed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cEqually, I don\u2019t want Bambi to miss out and if she wants to go to school, obviously we are going to encourage that. I just want her to be happy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cIf we enrol her in a school and she absolutely loves it and she is thriving, then that is amazing. That\u2019s what we want. Equally, we might put her in a school if that\u2019s what we decide to do, but it might not be what works \u2013 but could homeschooling be an option?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople will probably be thinking this is because of Tommy\u2019s opinions and he is half traveller on his dad\u2019s side. Tommy went to school, so it\u2019s nothing really to do with that. Tommy has his own opinions on it and he\u2019s the same as me. He\u2019s just on the fence.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cIf we find something that works, amazing. Tommy went to school. He did leave it a little bit early, but he basically was in school normally. I don\u2019t know, it\u2019s just a minefield and I hope I don\u2019t offend anyone in starting this conversation because I know it\u2019s so subjective.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat also doesn\u2019t help is that I really didn\u2019t enjoy school, at all. People say you really look back at school as the best years of your life and I certainly don\u2019t,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cI think my year group was quite a b**chy year group. School was meant to be fun and it\u2019s meant to be the best years of your life. It\u2019s meant to be the part of your life before things get serious. That school felt so serious.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cWe all have different opinions\u2026 She might have a completely different experience to me and I don\u2019t ever want to make a decision that\u2019s then going to hinder her future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cLet\u2019s say she wants to become a vet, she wants to become a doctor or a nurse or do something where she needs specific grades, then we want her to have that. So, thanks for listening to my TED talk.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
