What do we know so far about a new Lord of the Rings game?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n Insider Gaming reported in September 2025 that a new The Lord of the Rings game is in the works and has been for \u201csome time\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n According to its sources, the game will be a third-person action title that in a way is designed to \u201ccompete with Hogwarts Legacy\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n Reportedly the game will be at least partially funded by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) with a number of further parties involved, including studios Embracer, Revenge and others.
