North Wales Police have said that two bodies have been found in the Eryri mountain range, during a search for two men that were missing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cTragically, the bodies of the two men were located and recovered as part of these co-ordinated search efforts\u201d, North Wales Police said in a statement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth have now been formally identified, and their families have been informed\u201d, it said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, concerns were raised to the police about the two men, aged 19 and 20.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Extensive searches were carried out on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) by crews from Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team, Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team, RAF Mountain Rescue Service, SARDA and HM Coastguard.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
Chair of Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team, Jurgen Dissmann, said that he would like to extend his \u201cmost heartfelt condolences\u201d to the families and loved ones of the two men.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe team were tasked by North Wales Police and launched an extensive multi-agency operation in full winter conditions\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cVolunteers searched across challenging mountain terrain in snow and ice, working long hours through the night in difficult weather in an effort to locate the pair as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cDespite the determined and sustained commitment of everyone involved, we are deeply saddened that, despite all efforts, the outcome was not what we had hoped for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
