Best Buy status.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joe.co.uk\/uploads\/2024\/12\/GettyImages-161736775-scaled.jpg?height=689&amp;width=1024\" alt=\"Getty\" class=\"wp-image-466669\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Heinz baked beans in tomato sauce, which placed third<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>These supermarket own-brand beans bagged the UK\u2019s leading independent consumer champion\u2019s Great Value badge too.<\/p>\n<p>A 77% rating was achieved by Aldi\u2019s Bramwells Beans in a Rich Tomato Sauce, and these cost a mere 40p for a 410g tin.<\/p>\n<p>These beans were described as an \u201cexcellent all-rounder\u201d by the experts, as nearly three-quarters of those who tested appreciated the quality of the sauce, in addition to the beans\u2019 texture.<\/p>\n<p>The exact same score, 77%, was earned by Lidl\u2019s Newgate Baked Beans in a Rich Tomato Sauce, and they\u2019re also priced at 40p for a 410g tin.<\/p>\n<p>Heinz, which narrowly missed out on the top spot, had a score of 76%, however it\u2019s clearly the most expensive choice, as for a 415g tin they\u2019re priced at at \u00a31.40.<\/p>\n<p>Third place, with a 74% score from the testers, was secured by Branston beans.
