Arnold Schwarzenegger has warned that we could be raising a generation of wimps.<\/p>\n
Appearing on The Howard Stern Show, the 78-year-old Hollywood and bodybuilding legend explained that struggle is a good thing for young people and that without it we are \u2018creating a generation of wimps and weak people.\u2019<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cYou can only strengthen your character and become a really strong person inside if you have resistance, if you fail, if you get up again and if you work hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Terminator legend also claimed that the more one struggles in life, the more likely they are to succeed as struggling builds resilience before adding that society nowadays is too sensitive and considerate of young people\u2019s feelings.<\/p>\n
He told Stern: \u201cAnyone that tries to baby themselves and pamper themselves\u2026 it\u2019s over. You\u2019re never going to get there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Schwarzenegger then claimed that younger people need to learn how to \u201caccept pain, misery, and discomfort\u201d in order to become tougher.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the people that built the USA, Schwarzenegger said: \u201cIs it people that slept in? Is it people that were wimping out? This, \u2018Oh, I want to feel good. Oh, I want to be comfortable.\u2019 No.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is where ballsy women and men that went out there at five in the morning and got up, and they struggled . . . they fought . . . they worked their butts off.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s what made this country great. And so now let\u2019s continue this way.\u201d<\/p>\n
He concluded that it\u2019s nice to be considerate but that we shouldn\u2019t baby people.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cLet\u2019s go and teach kids to be tough\u2026 go out and do sports\u2026 to struggle\u2026 and go through this kind of painful moments sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n
