{"id":2699,"date":"2026-01-17T11:46:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T11:46:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.worldpumpnews.com\/?p=2699"},"modified":"2026-01-17T11:46:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T11:46:14","slug":"fifa-releases-statement-after-donald-trump-bans-15-world-cup-nations-from-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldpumpnews.com\/?p=2699","title":{"rendered":"FIFA releases statement after Donald Trump bans 15 World Cup nations from US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-match-ticket-doesn-t-mean-you-can-enter\">A match ticket doesn\u2019t mean you can enter<\/h2>\n<p>Following Donald Trump\u2019s decision to impose travel bans on 15 World Cup nations, FIFA has now issued a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The US are joint hosts of the next FIFA World Cup, alongside Canada and Mexico, and the travel ban comes into place just a few months before the tournament\u2019s start.<\/p>\n<p>FIFA has now warned the fans and people interested that a match ticket doesn\u2019t guarantee you entry to the country.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA match ticket does not guarantee admission to a host country, and fans should visit each country\u2019s government website today for entry requirements for Canada, Mexico and the United States\u201d, FIFA\u2019s press release states.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven the processing times involved, FIFA recommends submitting the visa application as early as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFIFA World Cup 2026 ticket holders travelling to the United States are eligible for the recently announced FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System (FIFA PASS) when it becomes available in the coming weeks\u201d, it said.<\/p>\n<p>The American president made it clear that he is against certain countries visiting the US, taking the total tally to 75 this week.<\/p>\n<p>Trump announced his administration\u2019s decision to \u201cindefinitely\u201d pause applications for citizens of 75 countries, impacting an estimated two billion people around the globe, in a reported attempt to further curb the level of immigration into the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem previously explained the reasoning for the bans in a strong-worded post on X (formerly Twitter).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just met with the President. I am recommending a full travel ban on every damn country that\u2019s been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies\u201d, she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur forefathers built this nation on blood, sweat, and the unyielding love of freedom \u2014 not for foreign invaders to slaughter our heroes, suck dry our hard-earned tax dollars, or snatch the benefits owed to AMERICANS. WE DON\u2019T WANT THEM.
