A second ICE shooting in the US city of Minneapolis has further stoked the flames of protests as people continued to clash last night.<\/p>\n
Uproar broke out last week after Renee Good was fatally shot by an ICE agent in the US city, sparking nationwide protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).<\/p>\n

People were already fatigued by the brutish behaviour of what has effectively become Donald Trump\u2019s henchmen, with the killing of Good becoming the trigger for unrest.<\/p>\n
In the aftermath, Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey gave a scathing speech in which he told ICE to \u201cget the f*** out\u201d of the city.<\/p>\n
It comes as Donald Trump defended the ICE agent who reportedly fatally shot a US citizen which led to anti-ICE demonstrations erupting across the country.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security claimed that a \u201cviolent rioter weaponized her vehicle\u201d and said that she had attempted to run over an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer.<\/p>\n
However, multiple videos of the incident appear to disprove any kind of self-defence theory and suggest rather an abuse of power. <\/p>\n
Now, a second person has been shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, this time non-fatally.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said federal officers initially pursued the man in a car chase because he was illegally in the US from Venezuela.<\/p>\n
The City of Minneapolis confirmed a man was shot and taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries. <\/p>\n
An ICE officer was also taken to hospital to be treated for injuries, the DHS said.<\/p>\n
