{"id":2487,"date":"2025-12-10T14:43:18","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T14:43:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.worldpumpnews.com\/?p=2487"},"modified":"2025-12-10T14:43:18","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T14:43:18","slug":"the-bank-of-canadas-last-interest-rate-update-of-2025-is-on-the-way-national","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldpumpnews.com\/?p=2487","title":{"rendered":"The Bank of Canada\u2019s last interest rate update of 2025 is on the way &#8211; National"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<p>The Bank of Canada is scheduled to deliver its final rate announcement of 2025 on Wednesday morning, which will determine if some borrowing costs in Canada will be cut, stay at current levels or increase.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/d21y75miwcfqoq.cloudfront.net\/70c8fc80\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Most economists expect the central bank to hold its key policy rate at 2.25 per cent, after recent reports on the economy were somewhat positive.<\/p>\n<p>This included recent gauges on economic output, or gross domestic product; consumer inflation, or the consumer price index; and the Labour Turnover survey showing unemployment ticking down for the second straight month.<\/p>\n<p>At least one economist thinks that if the bank makes any changes in the near future, it won\u2019t be a cut, but actually a hike in the second half of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNobody expects the policy rate to change today.
